"Have I not commanded you? BE STRONG AND OF GOOD COURAGE; DO NOT BE AFRAID, DO NOT LOSE COURAGE; FOR I THE LORD YOUR GOD AM WITH YOU WHEREVER YOU GO!"
The devil is a bully. I woke up this morning with darts of electronic mind abuse and a sense of apprehension. As the enemy was trying to instill fear into me, the Holy Spirit helped me get into the Word of God- Joshua Chapter 1. These words stood strong and greater in me than the fear darts! I took authority over the enemy and his mind abuse tactics, returning the darts back to sender(Proverbs 22:26-"whoso rolls a stone, it shall role back upon him"). Of course the apprehension disappeared!
The Holy Scriptures tell us that for the true child of God, " greater is HE that is in him/her than the spirits of the enemy that are in the world"!-1 John 4:4. Colossians 1 verse 13 declares that God has already delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son. We are no longer under the devil's power, hence he resorts to intimidation and abusing the mind, will and emotions of the christian with the single purpose of deceiving the child of God. Remember that in Revelation 12:9 Satan or the great dragon, the devil, is referred to as he who deceives the whole world!
We are commanded to be strong! So dear true child of God, take strength in the Lord using the scriptures. Take authority over the devil- he is a liar and sends his abuse of the christian mind against the soul aiming to cause you believe what's he's telling you is true: a that's- who- or- how- you- are- mentality. HE IS A LIAR, THERE IS NO TRUTH IN HIM, HE CAN NOT TELL ANY TRUTH BECAUSE TELLING LIES IS CONSISTENT WITH HIS CHARACTER(John 8:44). Pastor David Wilkerson(now in glory) once taught us at Times Square Church(Manhattan, New York) about this strategy of Satan.
BE STRONG IN THE LORD AND IN THE POWER OF HIS MIGHT! Put on the whole armor of God as commanded in Ephesians 6:12-18. MAINTAIN YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. RESIST THE DEVIL AT ALL TIMES UNTIL AND AFTER HE FLEES. Pastor Wilkerson added,"the devil is afraid of you!" He is afraid of the praying christian".
